Hi guys, my current anti virus is due for renewal. I currently use Avast, which has been ok for the last 3 years but wondered if anyone could recommend a different one. How good are any of the free ones? Its for a HP laptop with windows Vista on it.
Thanks

if you do online banking your bank may well provide you a full version of one of the big brands for free. I know barclays online banking gives kaspersky out.

As far as free goes, it is more than enough, if people really want in they just get in.....

Microsoft Security Essentials should do all you need -

What he said.

If you want to go with something else Avast and AVG are both fine/standard

If you are happy to part with a few quid then for everyone reading I can't recommend NOD32 enough. Been using it for about 8 years and nothing beats it.
