What's the world coming to 2 saints players in the team of year

And more importantly half the planet up in arms because cech is in goal
Instead of Scotland's goalie surely that can't be right

think Marshall has been brilliant this year but understand Cech, but I can't find anything much to quibble about in the team

the championship team had a howler in it (Will Hughes, not even in the Derby team) and a couple of omissions

Kompany a very strange inclusion especially on second half of the season, he is a lovely bloke though which explains it.

Cant really argue with anyone else

If Cardiff go down I was hoping David Marshall would be on his way to Celtic Park but it seems his stock is rising.

almost certainly stays in the PL

We'd be out of the running too, i am sure, but if Schmeichel leaves would take Marshall in a heartbeat

surely a backward step for him even shampionship has more credibility than the scottish league at the moment

i remember WGS replacing marshal with boruc a few years back now as much as i like boruc in goals for the saints
i am thinking marshal would add a touch of class

David came through the ranks at Celtic, I am sure he believes he has unfinished business.  I am pretty sure being number 1 with the club you support, started your career with and gives you the chance of winning titles and gives you the chance of playing in Europe every year is more enticing than going to Southampton or staying in the lower tier of the EPL.

I might be wrong but  I doubt it.

As for Strachan bringing in Boruc, David started very well with a agreat impact against Barcelona but there were some mistakes.  When Boruc played with Celtic he was one of the best goalkeepers in Europe imo.  But he started to believe his own hype after the world cup and let the his ego take over.

i honestly think playing in the lower levels of epl is going to put more money in his pocket

he is just about at his peak for a GK next 2-4 season after that moving back to celtic might be considered IMHO

would any of the top 7 teams be looking at getting him in after such a good season?

If he has 2 or 3 good seasons he will be too old to move to a top club

If he is the best or 2 nd best goalie this season wouldn't he be worth a punt on for 3-4 seasons
