The brown bread, rattlesnake and shark fin soup just can't be that bad.  Not sure about pork brains in a milk gravy though, that does sound a bit touch and go.

They might not all have been from a can, but done shark fin soup and grass jelly.  Can't imagine why the squid would be bad, I have eaten squid and you get tuna, salmon, pilchards etc from cans. Can't imagine tongue from a can is going to be too bad either.

Shark fin soup is a bloody nightmare in Hong Kong.  Every time there is some important do where they want to impress they wheel it out.  Ridiculously expensive, adds practically nothing to the soup, and is just horrifically cruel.  But you don't want to cause offence.

Grass jelly is just one of those things that is a waste of good sugar.  Practically every dessert out there qualifies on this score.  You want green tea or red beans with your sugar.  I have tasted so many different ones and they are mostly hard work.  Grass jelly is better than red bean if forced to choose, though would much prefer some cake or ice cream.  Preferably not red bean cake or ice cream.

Providing everything is healthy to eat I'd give every one of these a go.
