Hey all,

Hope no-one minds me posting.

I am selling my old set of sticks.  I have upgraded, so selling off these absolute classic gems.

Ping Eye 2+ (3iron - Sand Wedge)
Black dot (standard lie angle)
stiff shafts
good condition considering they are older than most millioaire new breed poker players
standard Ping grips (golf pride on the wedges)

Happy to post them for an agreed fee or meet at DTD and can email photos.

PM me for further details. Will consider sensible offers.

Cheers

When I was at the Ping factory, one of the guys there told me that these are the best irons that Ping ever made. They have to keep bringing out new models to sell more clubs but none of the new models are any better or idea as good as these.

I would agree with that.
I shot 68 with them 3 weeks ago and they have lasted me 15 years and are still perfectly fine.

The issue for me is that I need more feedback from the club head and the Eye 2 clubs are more of a mid handicap club that suits people that need more help to get the ball airborne and allows for miss hits to still go well. I really needed something with a bit more feel and I need a stiffer shaft. I got custom fitted for a new set two weeks ago and they are better for me.

Yes, I wasn't saying you shouldn't have changed them more just giving an endorsement for you to sell them. Smiley

They are very nice clubs to hit with huge sweet spots.

But i'd rather look at a picture of Susan Boyle than these clubs, Christ. Always thought ping could have sold so many more clubs had they looked a little more conventional.

Oxford - I have bought the new Ping 'i' E1. With the new Nippon NS a Pro Modus shafts in stiff flex.

Buzz - look at the new ones I have bought above and you'll see that Ping have done just that!

Just a 20 degree 3 iron replacement. Ping i15. Have a 17 degree 2 iron replacement but that isn't in all the time. I swap between a 3 wood, 2 iron or 4th wedge.

No chance of a Junior Junior wanting a set in the future?

I sold my Copper Eye 2's and miss them so much, for what I got I should have just kept them in the corner of the shed.  They had far more sentimental value then I ever imagined.

Yup. Checked eBay and it looks like around £100. Probably just keep them now and have the 8 iron cut down for Jr. Jr. whenever he or she arrives in the future.
