My grandmother is 99.

She always told us, when we are young,

"Never trust a man with a beard"

I remember this because it was a phrase repeated ad nauseam on every visit, and i have no idea why

anyway, beards are hugely fashionable. Particularly among young men, and hipsters

Now there is a new peril for being a beard wearer

"The perils of being a hipster - police sent to meeting of beardies mistaken for ISIS gathering"

this only confirms what we already know. Fashion has gone too far. Lets call an end to the overdose of beardism and get back to buying Gillette shares

thank you very much for listening

Didn't you have a goatee last time I saw you?

Surely they are worse than a beard?

the twirly moustache (trendy) and long beard combo on a youngster is the nut worst though.

My brother and I both had a go at growing them a few months back, but he was ordered to shave his off after a few weeks Cheesy

I made it to about 8 weeks before getting rid, and have been growing it again for just under a month this time.

Beards are a thing of beauty. They take time, patience and maintenance. Sadly for me, working on underground trains means it gets dirty quickly and I'm carrying around all day so it had to go. Raised £500 for charity when it went. I'm considering growing it again for another 5 months.

Year 9 I think it was in secondary school, we used to have Music then Economics to end the day. She always used to tell us never to trust a man in a pink shirt. Our Economics teacher quite often wore a pink shirt. The exasperation of this poor man being told that we'd been instructed that we shouldn't trust a thing that he said.

Mr Lawrenson actually turned out a be a really sound guy. You've probably heard of his brother

We've already reached Peak Beard - Jeremy Corbyn's going to kill them off as a trend.

My Mum used to tell me something similar about trusting bearded men when I was a child.

When pushed on why many years later she told me this came from her early nursing days.  Basically Addicts/Alcoholics who suffered from the DT's could not shave with a cut throat back in the day.  So all bearded men are addicts . . . simple life philosophy.  Its like the invention of the electric razor passed her by.

She still does not trust bearded men.

Loads of stereotypes like this, people don't even realise they are making those assumptions either, another one is people who wear wear glasses are perceived to be more intelligent than people without them.
