Sigh at this story. The big bad racism slur. Really gets my goat.

The majority of the Oscars in the last few years, I can think of, have gone to historical productions. American history, as it is, means most of these productions therefore require a white actor. In this particular year most productions have few black actors in the major roles. Simples.

Its not like we haven't had black actors win in the last few years as RD has mentioned.

I suspect Will Smith is rather proud of his work in Concussion, and the closest he can get to stampy feet, is to get his missus to stand up and make a stand. Has Spike Lee made a decent film this year?

If no white people had been nominated, would the white actors all boycott them and claim a "white racism"?

It's just an awards show, like all the other meaningless movie and music award shows (and even, dare I say, poker awards), designed for the purpose of insiders slapping each other on the back and promoting what they have to sell. These idiots seem to think these shows matter.

Big difference between an Olympic medal and something like an Oscar. One is (mostly) undeniable that you were the best, the other is very subjective.

But no the Oscars don't matter, Ice Cube was spot on in that video.
