I never knew his name, I used to think of him as "White Flag Man", but what a man he must have been.

What terrible times they were, but in amongst it all, men like these showed their colours. I'd bet good money that in day to day life he was quite & timid. And then, cometh the hour.......

He died earlier this week, God rest his soul.

RIP White Flag Man.

You have to love the name of the Senior Bursar. Nominative determinism at its finest.

Trinity owns the 999 year lease of the O2 Arena, acquiring rental income. They also bought Dunsfold Park, Surrey for £50 million in 2014, which is the site of the BBC show Top Gear’s track.

How in earth did they end up owning the lease of O2, I wonder?

And yes, gotta love Mr Landman.

Not sure. Sometimes, things like this happen:

I don't know when Trinity got the 999 year lease. Could be half way through it by now, given Trinity was formed in 1546 (Henry VIII and his new Church).

It had some reasonable alumni (Isaac Newton, Lord Byron (who kept a bear in his room), Bertrand Russell, Charles Babbage, Srisivan Ramunujan, Niels Bohr, John Lloyd, Eddie Redmayne and of course Vanessa Feltz). I expect they get donations and bequests from time to time.
