My condolences to you and your family. Having lost both my parents to cancer, dad when I was 16 and mum when I was 21, I can partly relate to what you are going though.

Be strong and remember the goods times as I'm sure this is what your mother would want.

RIP
Take all the pills the doctor offers you to get through the next few weeks. You might think you wont need them but they work wonders.
3 years on and I think of my old man every day. It's good though now, happy memories, it's kind of comforting really.
Good luck with everything.

My Mum died of cancer one year ago.  I still miss her a lot but now I try to remember all of the good times with her.  Do not fight the grieving process, it is all right to cry.  Actually just typing this has my eyes welling up, it will be the first anniversary of her passing away next week.  Lean on your family and friends and eventually the pain will become tolerable.

I'm very sorry to hear your news.

Don't stop yourself from feeling anything.

I totally agree. There are no rules on how long it takes to greave a loved one after an illness. No rules that say you must feel this or must feel that.

Take comfort in whatever way feels right for you.
