There seems to be a massive influx of these which is good as we all need to get them off our chest.....

So is anyone up for a little competition with maybe a trophy for the harshest bad beat that someone posts (having said that i realise there is a potential to fabricate a hand history but am hoping for some honesty amongst us blondeites)

So how about a monthly competition - where we can all view your BB and give it a mark out of 100 and whoever has the highest average each month becomes the monthly winner.

Then we can have an annual winner - and that man or lady can go away proud in the fact that they took the harshest beat of 2006 with maybe a cheap trophy to go with it!!

ANyone up for this - or something along these lines?

Like a sort of 'Blondepoker Bad Beat Jackpot'?

All well and good, and I can only speak for myself, but I absolutely hate bad beat stories. Whenever I see a 'My Aces got beat, why do they never win - have a look' post, my eyes glaze over.

If there's a funny story to go along with it, then that's fine - they can be good posts. But just endless hand histories of a bad player calling you with junk and beating you is just not interesting. Not to me, anyhow. Yes rubbish cards win sometimes. They can beat Aces. You're not the first person this has ever happened to - I don't want to hear about it.

I'd much rather hear about the times you got beaten because you played the hand badly, not because you got unlucky - and so should you. The replies you get to these will actually help you in the future.

i have to admit i was guilty of making a post within the internet section after twice running into consecutive hand beats within the same tourney. Like Andrew and Nemesis normally as soon as i see a bad beat story i move on to the next post - i try not to dwell on the fact that i'm a member of "the losers club". But occasionally its good to get it off your chest, especially if you suffer more than 3 in the one tourney!!

Like i said in my post though at the end of the day i got what i wished for and that was to get all my money in with the best hand and my opponent drawing to 1 or 2 outs - i hope it continues for a long time to come Smiley

Nemesis has been watching Spurs play again?
 Cheesy

I was teaching a friend to play the other night and there was  an "at it" merchant and pointed out that he was just stealing blinds by going all in regularly. Agreed that next good hand we would take him out.
He goes all in and my mate has   and we decide to call.
The other player shows
 two hearts
Yes we have caught him with his hand in the till with a nearly 70/30 chance.
Flop  Two Clubs
And the rest is history.

I object to your lies, I never complain about bad beats with  ,  maybe bottom set all in, or drawing dead on the flop with a boat, but i never complain of bad beats when i am marginally ahead.

Although i will challange anyone to tell me of a bad beat on par with my worst.  Now i had  in the BB............
