I don't know if any of you have seen this but it is very good.
Basically it is a fully zoomable model of the earth made up from satelite photos. Some places have a lot more detail than others but more photos are being added all the time.

Thanks for reminding me!
I heard some fella going on about this on *cough cough* radio 2 and meant to check it out.
Also about their map section, apparently you can scroll in the direction you wanna go without having to constantly reload the pages.

You can overlay roads on this, search for post codes and places, get directions, measure distances... Much better than maps.

The file I downloaded a few weeks ago is 10MB.
I imagine it will be between that and 15MB. It does connect to the Internet to download the images etc though so I don't know how well it would work on Dial Up.

I cant zoom in close enough to see any detail, I can see the outline of a town but if I zoom closer it becomes blurred, am I doing something wrong?
