Some folks think John Wayne is a good actor.  He is absolutely awful. 

Captain Janeway was voted best Star Trek captain.  She is terrible at acting.

David Hasselhoff is a huge star is Germany.  He can't sing or act.


Costner is a far better actor than any of the above.   I think twenty years from now, people will still be talking about each of the above.  Twenty years from now people will still say  " that Costner chap sure can act ".  " he is a natural actor "..  " what a great performance he did in the film with the Wolves ".
