Kev - If you are not in Barcelona why have we not seen you down here this week? I had arranged with George and Derek to freeroll you for all the events, I had a teenage model in the hotel for you and a chauffeur driven limo to take you to the nightclubs after. Johnny Chan was going to take you back to Vegas as his minder and you would have lived your life surrounded by poker and gorgeous women -still never mind -you will always have Colchester.

That scream you just heard was me as i launched myself off the top of a local multi storey car park !!!!!!

Im glad things went well for the fessie Geoff ... It really is a top venue.  Im sure this has put the Western firmly on the map and signals a bright future for the place.

I will be returning ASAP ... Keep me updated on all future comps and events, and my money is on Ian woodley to win the main event...  By the way Matt Dale ..How many chips ??  must be a missprint LOL   he should stick to western Roll Wink

LOL  Cheesy

Here's my mini report of events so far. I won my way in to the main event from a £180 satellie, so that was pretty cool.

As for the main event, I was down to 7.5k after less than 60 minutes (15,000 starting chips) after I was repeatedly dealt AKs and missed the flop, turn, and river, and was unable to bluff my way out of it.

However, with this excellent structure, 7.5k is still a hell of a lot of chips when the blinds are still only 50/100. After that, I started to hit my hands, and due to all the missing to begin with, got paid off a lot of the time. Managed to knock Stuart Nash out too, though he was only short stacked...

My biggest stack of the day was 63k, but I got caught bluffing on the last few hands of day one. Got called by middle pair and lost 10k or so.

However, I've found a new secret weapon - a lucky mango! Chan might have his Orange, but my mango really was the business yesterday Smiley Speaking of which, I've only gone and left it in the bloody hotel - meaning a £20 taxi there and back to pick it up!! Doh!

Anyway, excellent festival, and I love the structure! Hope to see more of you here for the next one Smiley

Blimey.., I donked away a load of chips and got down to 25k. Everyone was stealing my blinds left, right and centre Sad

Then, going all-in pre-flop for 25k, and trying to look like I'm on tilt, with AKs, I get a call with AQo.

Flop TT3, Turn 3 Sad

River......

K Cheesy

A few hands later and I'm back up to 65k. Chip leader on my table. Still 23 runners left - in 2 hours we lost just 1 runner!
