Superb stuff ...... great pics.

Its quite moving to see the happiness on peoples faces for something that most people just take for granted.

OMG!!!! WOW!!!!!!!

Amazing stuff guys, just shows what a great cause you guys work towards, A BIG UP to Davey and Ange and a big thanks to Ironside for making these kids future a little more optomistic.

How many of these schools have now been opened?

And just remind us how much one of these schools costs to open and run for a year please.

UTMOST RESPECT

This is the first of two schools we are building and maintaining to replace ones lost to the Tsunami. Building has been hampered in recent months due to tensions in the Batticoloa region.

Work on the second school 'Jimmy's Game for Life School' (named after Angie's dad who passed last year whilst the plans for this project were being drawn up) will start shortly.

In addition we have a four classroom block (one of the classrooms called BlondePoker!) at the SANGA Medium school in Nepal.

We will look to start further projects when funds are available.

The Ironside's Game for Life School cost £2500 to construct and fit out. Future ones will probs be closer to £3000. Still a argain in my book.

The cost of maintaining each school is £60 / month although we are budgetting at £75 / month to be on the safe side. We are committed to all our projects indeffinently.

The little things really do matter. It costs just £5 / month to sponsor a child to ensure a child receives a full education - PM me for further details.

I just want to say Thankyou to everyone who has supported the cause and of course IRONSIDE who is quite simply a star   goldstar

Ironside

you may not know this but the man in the photograph with the microphone at the school was the person invited to open the classroom

His name is Jamal Wettimuny Hillakara and he is Sri Lanka's top kabbadi/football pundit, owner of three lap dancing clubs in Colombo and Kandy and a keen amateur poker player

Ironside

This is in fact true, he is the Sri Lankan Jimmy Hill. Having spoken to him he said that he wishes to play a series of G4L HU games with the 'Scottish fish who overplays AK' (his words not mine) for any stakes. When he wins he wishes to be known as '5-Nil I own Ironside'.

Ironside you up for it?

Those piccys are wonderful,Big up to all on the game for life team, and of course to old Ironside, well done M8 you should be justifiably proad.

P.S. I.m gonna E-mail these to all my non poker friends, who still think were a bunch of degenerate losers......some of them preach to me about ALL poker players being this way,

Yet would never in a million years bother to show anything like this genorosity.

i know the feeling. on my rear window of my car I have the car sticker proudly displaying www.poker4charity.org, I wear shirts to work proudly displaying the logo and web address, i even have the logo as part of my desktop and i'm still referred to by the directors as the one who likes to gamble...not even the one who gambles for charity
