It appears as though Jennifer Harman was eliminated from the comp just after play resumed.

David Benyamine is OUT. Couldn't see any details as it was across the other side.

Doyle Brunson is now up with the chip leaders after taking a big chunk out of Andrew Bloch's stack.

A rare and beautiful thing occurred - I got right up to where I could see a hand being played out - and it was one in this Stud 8/b round.

The ante is now 1,000, with a 1,500 bring-in and 4,000 completion (the limit being 4k/8k) - so not small potatoes now; it's understandable why they're down to six tables fairly rapidly.

Anyhow, TJ Cloutier, who has probably 170,000 (although his double cokes in front of his chips make it devilishly hard to tell) was showing against his opponent's Two Clubs when I turned up.  It was the latter who was doing the betting, with TJ calling, until they looked like this:

TJ:
Matey:  Two Clubs    There was a river bet from TJ, and a rather wistful look at the hand and muck movement as Mr. Cloutier showed the winning down cards of and another low card (blocked by said coca-cola tower).

The $50,000 HORSE tournament, 2006, will NOT be won by a woman.  Annie Duke is OUT.  Down to five tables, and a new table of doom approaches - Doyle Brunson, Tuan Le, Andy Bloch, Patrik Antonius, Lederer, Gavin Smith, Robert Williamson III.  There you have it.

Amongst that rabble is:

Phil Gordon
William Chen
Harry Demetriou
Alexander Strandli
Joe Beevers

After a bit of a flurry of exits, play has slowed down somewhat and we seem to have returned to the snail's pace of earlier that was threatening us with a very late finish indeed.

A couple of late-nite counts for you:

Minh Ly      235,000
Howard Lederer   10,000  - emergency light blinking
Phil Ivey      240,000
Erik Seidel    140,000
Barry Greenstein  110,000
TJ Cloutier      170,000
Freddy Deeb    175,000
Patrick Antonius  360k+

These are conservative guesstimates from a respectful distance from the players... but the idea I got was that Ted Forrest, Doyle Brunson and Patrik Antonius are still in front of the pack.  Any stack under 50k is now in serious trouble.
