interesting to hear darryl king on the radio today admitting he was duped into believing rangers  had a £15 mil war chest for the le guen reveloution by someone at ibrox, peter martin jokingly pointed out tosh mckinlay resigned from celtic tv for less, point was made though

Smoke & mirrors from the Mint, surely not  Wink. I know Darryl King, he used to run about with a Rangers top on when he was younger & you could write what he knows about football on the back of a fag packet but hes one of Murrays lap dogs so he won't rock the boat.

The difference is how these things are reported, remember last year the Celtic in Crisis headlines with the cracked crests IN PRE SEASON  >:?
yep, the wonderfull james traynor at his best!

But the likes of Traynor and Keegan who feel as if they need to bash Celtic at every opportunity really pisses me off, feck everyone knows they are Celtic fans.  Muppets.

Keevins was, Traynor isn't & never has been.

Another interesting thing is the fact that The Sun has taken over the Record as the highest selling paper in Scotland. This isn't due to the fact that the Sun has got better its because the Record is so bad & circulation has plummeted due to shoddy journalism. Keevins & Traynor were actually decent journos when they were with the broadsheets but they have both gone down the tabloid route with a vengeance, I don't buy the papers anymore & haven't done so for a good couple of years. These cretins used to wind me up bit I soon realised they were best ignored.

Traynor still insists he's an Airdrie fan but he was exposed as an uncle Tim many years ago by TAL fanzine.

I had a few discussions about Rangers after their first two games and my assessment was - good from middle to front, poor in front of goal, and dodgy at the back. They'll win some games 6-0 but drop points in other games they should win easily.

That's not too far from how I'd assess Celtic too.

The difference is, Celtic have been getting slaughtered in the press before a ball was kicked  in anger, while every move Le Guen makes has been hailed as genius.

Guys like Darryl King are so far in with David Murray they can almost see Chick Young's soles.

I did also opine that the close season was the golden time for the Scottish press, as they could print what they wanted without ever having to back it up with any facts. Now the season has started, they can actually be called to account and confronted with the truth.

Unfortunately for them, the public are now wise to their games. The Daily Record has burned so many bridges their circulation is now below that of The Sun in Scotland.

For what it's worth, I expect the league to be a lot closer than last season - it could hardly be less competitive - and the final outcome will  have a lot to  do with the transfer moves to come over the next couple of weeks.

Ohh and regards the Sun I wouldn't buy that rag if it was the last paper ever - its worse than the Record.

And any decent football fan should boycott it after the lies it published in the aftermath of Hillsborough.

Both are poor sides to be honest but I think Rangers are open to more improvement.  I missed first 2 games due to being in Vegas but I'd heard decent reports, so was confident before todays game but we were very poor.  Defence and 'keeper are big concerns.

No one said they were buying it, but I agree with the sentiment

I wasn't trying to infer that you where buying that right wing rag mate I was merley responding to the fact the Sun has managed to increase its circulation.
