Big pot occurring simultaneously on the other table - Bernard Litman raised to 4,500 under the gun, called by Gerald David.  Glenn Ashworth takes a good while before passing, and the flop comes:  .  Small bet from Litman; call.
Turn:   Litman bets out 6,000 this time, and gets another call.
River:  .  Thoughtful check from both players, this time:  Bernard Litman shows , Gerald the winning .

Now Glenn pipes up saying he folded AK preflop!  No wonder he took his time...

That Tony fellow off the tele, you know the pensioner (nope, not Blackburn), has just doubled up courtesy of Mark Rayner.

Rayner bet 3k with his K-J on a Q-Q-x flop. Kendall made it another 5.2k with Q-6 (big blind hand) and Rayner called.

Tikay in Shock Runner Runner Flush to Double Up News Now -

He made his all-in move on a flop of , check-raising Mick Fletcher with his powerful .  The other's hand was a bit stronger than he'd have liked, and after the middle players got out of the way, he got to see the against him.  Standing up now, they both could only watch as the and then the popped out to save the fishy sophisticated Godfather of poker, catapulting him over 40k!

Brian Medley caused uproar on our table yesterday. He moved all-in, in 3rd position. Stood up and said to the dealer 'i need to make a phone call, i'll be back in ten min'!!!??

He promptly walked off, what do you do?

10 min ****************************BREAK***********************  to race off the 100 chips.

Last hand before it, Glenn Ashworth took a 20k pot betting all the way against Gerald David.  The board came and the final 8k bet on the river secured Glenn the pot.

Tikay has just seemed to come to terms with the fact that he now has a playable stack - over 50,000 in fact.  He clearly doesn't like to profit from luck purely, but now that fortune has smiled on him, he'd better just get on with it!

Just in case you're not all familiar with all the competitors up here - here pictured are Gerald David (checked shirt) and Glenn Ashworth.

Iqbal raises from the cut-off to 6k, only for Hewston to move over the top from the small blind for 25.5k. Iqbal folds.

Hewston then shows A-J off, claiming he's had the hand three times in a row.

He then preceeds to place the cards in his top pocket before saying, "Oh, sorry" and finally handing them in.

Highly amusing
