You know I didn't mean you matt! Your one of my favourite monkeys, But If watching the 'greatest minds' in poker shove in a years salary on a low draw does not remind you of retartded mokeys fighting over bannanas I don't know what will. Mind you they were playing limit this morning so less likely to happen, but seen it dozens of times on the PL tables.

I know the comment wasn't aimed at me squire it was more the choice of phrase used - if you would have used the word human instead of monkey can you imagine the reaction your statement would have gotten? I know what you were trying to say and the statement wasn't meant in a malicious way, truth is we fight over bananas regardless of any slight mental disabilities.
As for the hand in question - yes to some of us it may be a years salary but to big stake cash game players (and there are one or two who are blondeites) this is nothing compared to how much they earn, its like me or you walking into a betting shop and putting £10 on a horse. Also Ivey was sticking it all in on top two pair, as far as i can see they are playing high-only and therefore the low draw is irrelevant.

I formally apologise for any offence caused to mentally impaired primates who might have read my post and been offended. I in no way meant to further denigrate this already maligned section of our community I merely wished to comment on how much gamble the great and the good show in games like PL HI-LO which are often a crap shoot to begin with.

none taken squire
(though may not be a good idea to say that games like p/l omaha h/l are crapshoots - some people i know actually say that there is skill involved
)
though as a hold'em monkey i may have a slightly biased opinion ......

He got $50k from Full Tilt a few days ago - as he had no money in his account - apparantly!!
how would someone know that?
It was what was implied from a convo he had with Eric123 - i did say APARANTLY!!
He asked Eric for a loan as he was broke, Erir replied he couldnt lend any, but said ring Full Tilt, they should give him some $'s. Then 3 minutes later he was sitting with $50k
Yes, that's right.

Do you think players like Ivey, etc are at a disadvantage while playing NL online? Afterall there are big name online players who only play Hold'em for 12 hours a day every day of the week.

Who would you rather have playing online with your life savings? Matusow,Ivey Sagstrom or Taylor Caby? I think I would much rather the latter two than the first two.

Yep, that's what I mean. If they play with these big name Internet players, aren't they going to take a hit occasionally like Ivey has been doing recently

Whats even worse is there ego seems to take over as well, never a good thing at the tables. I remember seeing Taylor just pound Gus Hansen but he just kept reloading.
