Hello, you're not a s hairy as I'd expect, but I'm sure there's a good explanation for that.

Congrats Matt  thumbs up

Thank you all for your kind words and greetings, i know it was kept quiet but to be honest it wasn't planned. There isn't a "mrs monkey", his mum and i have been good friends for many years but never in a relationship type way. I've known for about 7 months but to be honest for the first 5 or so i kind of buried my head in the sand and thought "if i pretend i dont know about it then maybe it wont happen".

I realized a few months ago that unfortunately i cannot change the past and the sooner i learned that i would have to accept responsibilty the better which is why once i returned from Vegas i didnt plough all my money back into online poker - i'd have to rebuild my bankroll the hard way by grafting at the lower levels. Its proving harder than expected but we're getting there Smiley

To be honest i wasnt sure how i'd feel yesterday but after it emerged both mum and baby we're both fit and well i couldnt feel any other way but happy, all i had to do was figure out how i now tell everyone as i'd only told two people where i work (in case i needed any time off) and one close friend. It was a bit tricky trying to tell a friend i'd known since i was about 6 and see on a regular basis that i'd become a dad some 8 hours earlier!!

Whilst i'm not going to be there for him 24 hours a day 7 days a week i'll be doing my best to provide him with as good a future as possible, as baby says another reason why i may not be around as much on the forum in the coming weeks and months - i have to learn that i need to share my bananas from now on!! MUST GRUMBLE Cheesy

You're going to have to get him to cut this sort of thing out.

You mean you hadn't told your parents...ouch, they may be upset to be uninvolved till now.
But I'm sure it will all be forgotten when they meet the little fella.
If it is their first grandkid they will be too besotted to think straight anyway.

My 4th (second boy) is now 4 months old and me and his 2 godfathers (I choose quality guys) are planning to take him to Prague when he hits 18...you can bring your boy too...and they will return home men lol.

Congrats though

p.s. If you aren't feeling immediately overwhelmed with him, don't worry.
I felt a little "disappointed" after all 4 of my children arrived, but over the coming days and weeks fell head over heels for all of them.

Unfortunatly my parents divorced over 20 years ago and i've only seen my dad once in that time, my mum died just over 5 years ago but that was the only down side about yesterday for me - that she wasn't there to see him. The only family i have is my mums cousin who lives in devizes, we do keep in touch very very occasionally - so i may just about get away with an excuse on that score.
