Jim Reid bites the early dust as his Aces (we think) fall to Bad Girl...one down, 96 more to go... I'll get some quotes from the doubled lady momentarily.

The Bad Girl story, then:  She called a preflop raise from Jim Reid with .  Flop:  - couldn't be much better, then.  On the flop she just called Jim's 600.
Turn:  Now she check-raises from 700 to 1,700, and calls the subsequent re-raise (+2,500) (albeit with some hesitation)...
River:    Now Jim moves in, and call - her Ace flush took it down, and Jim just mucked his hand and went off home.  She says, "I think it might be bad play/call, but I gamble..."

Ryan raised to 300 preflop, call from Paul.  Flop brought .  Ryan checked, Paul bet 800, call.

River:    Ryan now bets out 1,500, gets re-raised a further 2,000 and flat calls.

Although speculation is that Paul Higgins was betting a house of Threes, the flat call on the river was pretty unfathomable, as Ryan held for the second nuts...

You misunderstand (or you're winding me up) - "a spade" is not the same as Ace of spades.  And if I were to type in , that would happen.
