at what age to players retire at battrick? I've read somewhere that there is no upper limit but that their skills may diminish - has anyone got experiences of older players coping with matches?

Stamina starts to fall from 33yo upwards.

When you say stamina falls - do you mean PFL levels fall quicker or his Stamina will go from Respectable to Competent to Mediocre?
If it is the latter how quickly does it decrease?
i spotted what i thought was a bargain on the transfer market but the player was 32 years old so i thought i'd better ask first if by the end of this season he became useless and couldn't be sold on

The stamina stat itself will fall.
No one really knows how fast yet as there aren't too many older players around.

ok cheers, will bear it in mind - anyone who is 32 now is soon about to become 33 at the start of season 9 so i need to keep an eye on anything like that.

I've had a mail from a Div V1 player claiming to be a scout for the England U19 team. He wanted to know the stats of my star player, as he thought he might have a chance of making the team.
It seems a bit strange that the scout is from a Div VI team. Can it do any harm by letting him know the stats?

Are the U19 scouts.
No real harm in letting people know the stats, unless he is hideously unbalanced, even then I think it's still quite hard to take advantage of..
