Holy crap, he sold for £5.3m in the end.

Now, how badly can I make a mess of this opportunity to take a step forward in Battrick?

Get the right number of FAs in.

Always keep at least £1.6m in the bank.

Doesn't really matter what else you do Wink

Did have a good season though, especially considering it was my first full one.

Held my place in div V with a solid 4th place which included three other narrow defeats too.

Took a couple of teams by surprise I think first time round so will be tougher this season.

Had my expected first class relegation as the four long standing teams were just too good.  Was only 8 pts off 4th at the end though and did force a couple of draws against the top four second time round so definite progress.

Just seen my div 6 first class is totally bot which is a shame as it's going to be a bit boring though obviously good for morale & fitness!

I've finished rounding up the basic level of all my squad and now need to concentrate on developing 2/3 real stars which is what I currently lack in the first XI

Yep Asa...I need a Birchall..

Done well in transfers so looking forward to new season with £2m in bank, suberb academy, 16k stadium, solid squad which is far healthier than 3 months ago!

very nice.. want my strong/strong all rounder?? £3m to you sir.

Lol, Birchall's not a bad player at all is he... he'll soon be at the max level I can afford at this stage of the game, his wages are already over £11k!! Have managed to get a couple of good all rounders ( strong/resp and strong/strong) so I bat down to 8 now, and managed to pick up a strong bowler for not too much too.

I have a few things to achieve over the course of the next season:

1) FC promotion back to V which isn't that easy seeing as there is a couple of campers with strong squads
2) Remain in top 4 in OD as my division is much tougher than last year
3) Pick up a top class spinner ( if necessary by selling one of my all rounders)
4) Look at getting one of my young batsmen vastly better to take some of the pressure off Birchall
5) Continue making £1m every 6 weeks Smiley

I stayed in the same Div IV OD and FC divisions... and neither will be too much different to last season - I don't have enough strength to win either, but should be able to stay up...

Some other good news is one of my players has just been called up to the India U19 team Cheesy

I have a resp/feeb spinner already who does a decent job, prob looking at the least for a strong to be honest, but it all depends on whether or not I decide to keep my all rounders now they have secondaries and stamina!

I appear to be losing to a bot

Then again I didn't expect him to have players with wages of £80k and £60k a week!

well the start of a new season is upon us, the grass has been cut and the smell of summer is in the air. i take a stroll down to my cup opponents ground to view my easy tie against a division 6 bot, but wait what is this - security won't let me into the ground to watch!! bummer Sad

not only that but the site as a whole is very slow and kicks me out occasionally - hmmmm, time to see if we can pick up a bargain or two on the transfer market while people give up on the place for a few hours.

Managed to get the highest bid in on an 18yr old spinner with resp stamina and resp bowling (only feeble consistency mind but hope to change that in nets) for just £25k. However looks like there may be a stewards enquiry as he's not yet officially been transfered into my squad - must grumble!!
