lol,  I was just about to make a thread about this. I sent Kev a PM about it as well as I got the same mail

this is the mail

Dear Mr ..........., Welcome to our new poker software. The new client is similar to your current software, but is more user-friendly and provides improved flexibility. To get started, you will need to upgrade the new poker version and as a result, you will need to make use of the following username  in order to suit the criteria of the new software. The new network is the largest in Europe and one of the largest in the world... and growing! We'll be offering you the widest range of action packed games and tournaments with thousands of players online around the clock. A good news… we are coming forward with Casino which will be launched very soon. We shall remain at your disposal for further assistance and you may contact us at anytime convenient to you either by: Email: support@hansagaming.com Phone#:  Best of luck! Best regards, Debbie support@hansagaming.com

I got this too and then in what looked like German.
It was addressed to mrs  and  our VC account is in Mr

As Kev says, we are on the case, urgently. We have no idea what the answer is, or how it came about.

It goes without saying that we have not given permission to anyone, anywhere, to use the bPL database of e-addys - it would not be in our interest so to do, nor have we sold or allowed access to our database to anyone.

For now, we apologise to anyone who's been troubled by this. When we know what's what, we will inform you all.

I had a few problems when I did the blonde upgrade and was on the phone to the hansagaming number printed on the website and was put through to a host (Lyndon) who I reconised as a lobby host and someone I knew who worked for Blonde/Bowmans.

Might have been just pure luck or maybe it works like tribeca where every skin still has its own host and call centre, Lyndon was VERY helpful and sorted out my problem the best he could.

Some mix up between skins. I had a completely different mix up. When I upgraded my blonde software it got upgraded to VC studentpoker, blonde no longer on my system!

I think the main issue is to make sure blonde are getting the rake for all their players and any contact they send out gets to them all. The other skin probably doesn't know the emails are going out to you and they will be a genuine ipoker skin so I wouldn't be too worried about anyone stealing your details.

Bugs for ipoker to sort, and blonde to nag them about.

This I think is very dodgy.......same thing happened to me but I was on UPL and had signed up there PRIOR to Blonde opening an online site. I found I could use the same cashier on both sites.

VC studentpoker must be related to VC so why would it delete Blonde?

It brought the upgrade window up, I said yes, it downloaded. When the install/upgrade started it had a VCstudentpoker banner on it. It didn't exactly delete blonde, it upgraded it to VC Undecided and therefore no blonde anymore.

BUMP!!!

Any news on this yet please?

As I said earlier in the thread, when I changed some of my personal details on the blonde skin, the confirmation I got was from Hansagaming - so they must be something to do with the blonde skin.

Also got 2 more yesterday asking me to goto a website and enter my Pin No - THEY had my pin No in the email!  (This was was NOT from hansagaming)

At first I just deleted them and didnt pay much attention, but thinking about it, how are they getting hold of our account info?!?

Yes there is news ... below is an explanation word for word as given to us.

On behalf of blonde, I apologise for the confusion caused by this mix up.

*************************************************************************

1) The email from hansagaming

I have spent most of the day looking into how the email on the bulk system
went from hansagaming. Hansagaming is not an external skin and is the brand
used by Bowman International for live testing upgrades and changes. It does
have live customers on it but is totally run by us. The Bulk mail system
config has been changed with the upgrade to Playtech and for one of the
emails telling only people who had to have their user names modified (not
all customers) instead of it going from the URL ...@24hourpokerhelp.com it
went from ...@hansagaming.com. Hansagaming is effectively the brand used by
Bowman International. I know it is a little confusing and the corporate
identity will in the future be changed from bowman's to hansa as hansa is
just running poker skins. Bowmans.com the brand is now being run by bet365.

This wont happen again as the system has been double and triple checked to
ensure the mails are set to ...24hourpokerhelp.com.

The other point I want to make very clear is that if any of the customers
who got the email has signed up with Blondepoker then tried to sign up with
hansapoker the system would stop them and our guys would block the
hansapoker account straight away. There is no way any customers or rake will
be lost because of this. I can also confirm that at no time do any of our
skins have access to each others details or customer lists and data is not
given to third parties unless it is for identity checking per our rules.

To reiterate, hansapoker is a brand run for launching new products by Bowman
International and not owned by anyone else externally. This should not have
happened and wont happen again.

Have we had the answers? I must have missed them somewhere, I though we were still waiting....

BUMP!!!

For those who missed the answers.

Maybe you should just post the reply in a seperate thread and lock it for a week or so or this thread will be a bit black and blue soon !!

I got a page with the hansagaming logo on it when I went through an obscure series of events on blonde skin - it is not something to do with the blonde skin, it just seems to me there is a page or 2 that haven't been created properly for blonde and the links take you off to a hansa branded page instead. For me the page was under a forgot password link (and a few more clicks than that).
