Whilst I'm waiting for Jen to return with some poker pearls, check out this antesup.com clip of Mad Marty showing me a card trick. Mad Marty Wilson is the only person I have ever met who comes across drunk when he's fully sober. At this point, I was tired after a long long month of endless updating, sleeping in hotels and eating a couple of sandwhiches a day - I think I did well to join in though (ps, this was the 4th trick). Problem is, when he left, he promised to return later on to play what he described as "A game that is gripping the nation". No, not Poker or Deal or Deal, but 'Win With Wilson'. The mind boggles, it truly does...

I think Snoopy might have created expectations of "Pearls" I just can't live up to - but I can summarise the last half level:
Sorel Mizzi and Roland de Wolfe - one walk apiece.
Sorel Mizzi vs. Roland blind vs. blind - one all.
Marty re-raises Sorel off his button 220k from the small blind.
Roland hits the broadway straight on a family-seen turncard but fails to get action.
And wouldn't you know it - I give up my seat ringside after about half a day's preflop blind-stealing notation and 30 seconds later hear the crowd going bananas. Snoopy saw a showdown...

Roland raises, Marty moves all-in, Roland calls 1.4 million.
Roland =
Marty =
Board =
Marty doubles through.

Roland plays the Full Wilson:
And he sees the
flop for free, checking the big blind after Marty Smyth makes up the small. They both check the flop...
Turn:
Marty checks, Roland bets (the amound not announced, let's go with 150k). Call.
River:
Marty checks, Roland bets 375k and after a brief think Marty calls only to muck at the sight of the
two pair.

snoopy - is that a beard in the antesup film? and at the risk of making blonde sound self-congraulatory ie endless announcements about how great you are, i have to say: GREAT UPDATES!!!! (although i can remember how scathing you were about EPTLive constantly patting itself on the back) anyway, reading Blonde remotely it really does feel as if i was there which while not necessarily a GOOD thing is, nevertheless, very realistic.

Hi Mad! That beard you noticed is a physical badge of Snoopy's laziness with regard to grooming when on an update...
Thanks very much for the back-pat...
