I see my old mate and golfing partner Justin Young is still in. Could you go over and wish him the all the best from me and ask him what handicap he's playing off at the moment. Think he's on table 55.

Jamie Gold is OUT -

Lucky he was on the table next to us, although you can hear his exiting cries all the way across the room, in all probability...

He made his move with , all in preflop, called by Grant Lang - "No pair," Gold half asks, half insists.  It turns out to be against him.  The board brings no surprises for the Ace-high, which remains good.  "F**k!"  Shouts Gold, in quite an amicable way, actually.
Then, standing back from the table, "You going to give me a penalty?"
He might as well have said "Nah nah nahnah nah" as he went on his way.

Praz was a late arrival today and did 10k in blinds and antes.

"Roland rang me up at 7.30am this morning and I couldn't get back to sleep," he moaned.

Remember this guy, David Singer? He finalled in the 50k H.O.R.S.E event last year and is one of those silent but deadly kind of players.

He's not doing great here today, but he's surviving, pictured here collecting the pot after his pre-flop all-in for 70k went uncontested.

Okay, okay, I guess the table you're all interested in is this one (by the way, Bullit Pete isn't on it, he's with Hellmuth).

Not too much conversation between Phil Ivey and Ram Vaswani (are either ever chatty at the table??), but they're playing plenty of hands to compensate.

Whilst Ram's on 275k, Phil is struggling with around 70-80k, but he did just take a smallish pot off the chap in the small blind (is that Justin Young by any chance, Jim?).

Phil raised it up from the button to 7k and the small blind called. Flop, check, 12k bet from Ivey, fold.

Remember yesterday when I spoke about position raising pre-flop and continuation betting from Ivey, well I guess that's another example.

Andy Black is OUT.

All-in pre-flop.

Black =

Franklin Caldwell =

Board =

Black didn't look best pleased as he swiftly left the cardroom.

Peter Haslam with his 63k stack and a rather foreboding sight across the other side of the table.

Kind of like David and the Goliaths.

Judging by the picture though, I don't think the Haslaminator is too bothered.
