Correct Ariston, but what a rollercoaster ride I had!

Plan A, as I had average chips, was to wait until we got down to 14 or 15 & then open up. Plan A lasted until the very first hand....

Ian At it Bradley Raises on my B, I got AQ. I am sure he is stealing, & decide to get him off his hand by RR-ing. At It gives it a long dwell - he's obviously acting, & is gonna pass, followed by some wise words. He sets me all-in. Good read tikay. Thing is, I know At it is likely at it. But At It knows that I know that I think At it is at it. Anyway, I am pot committed, & call all-in. I turn over my AQ, dreading AK, he turns over JJ - see, I KNEW At It was at it. I miss, & get up to leave after one hand. But when they match the chips, I have 1.5k left. Blinds are 1k-2k.....!

Typically, next hand I get...QQ...! I chuck my 1.5k in, and in one of the most amazing plays I can recall, the SB, to whom is it 1k to make up the blind, passes! The BB is given 500 back from the pot, & I take the pot. Up to 4k, hehe.

I move in again next hand with A-2, simply because there has been a R to 7k, so I am getting value. He has 5-5. Board comes four rags then an A, I am up to 11k.

This continues, my 1.5k eventually becoming 36k.....!

Then I find a REAL hand, TT, & get all-in against a young lady who has AQ. First card A. Groan. Next hand, Q, groan groan. Third card, TEN! Now my 1.5k has become 72k, we are down to 12, & I am above average. I start thinking about how to play the Fiinal.....

I then blow away 30k against the lovely Mrs Peters in a blinds battle. I R'd to 21k with A-T suited in the SB, she dwells for ages before moving all-in for 8k more, I have to call for value, she has K-9, fine. I wish her good luck & we kiss. She rivers the K, bless her, I tell her I love her & give her another kiss.

Blinds are 4k-8k now, we are down to 10 on 2 tables of 5, so the Blinds are racing round, so it's steal or die. Debbie Rogers, on the other table, asks the Cardroom Supervisor if we can have a 10 seat Final, but no luck, they say no.

My stack moves regularly between 15k & 60k. Brian Johnson keeps passing to my Re-raises in case I tell HIM I love him. He says he don't mind that, but does not fancy me giving him a kiss. But I still can't believe I am back in it after dropping to 1.5k first hand.

Then came death. A routine button steal went "slightly wrong". I am at the lower end of my fluctuating stack with 27k & move all-in with Q-5. Mrs Peters RR's me, oops, then Ian At It Bradley RRR's. Oops oops. I sense I may be in a spot of bother here. Mrs Peters shows, amazingly, KK, so I am definitely drawing a shade thin. At It then belies his nickname by showing AA.....! So Mrs Peters & tikay exit on the same hand, but as she had 34k to my 28k, I get 10th & 500, & she gets 9th & 840. She deserved better, she played terrific all afternoon.

I cannot recall having a more enjoyable 3 hours. A shade disappointed to miss the Final, but I had a real ball. No excuses, no complaints.

The result of the Final will be posted next on a new thread.
