Stuart Fox is up to 14k after coming back from the lunch break with only 1,700. He was all-in three times and won them all.

His pre-dinner hit was a standard one, set of Kings outdrawn by a flush draw.

Big pot developing on a far table with Eli Elezra and two Mateyboys. There was a raise, a re-raise and an all-in, followed by two calls. Then, on the Turn of a board, all the chip went in, Eli showing vs. and the all-inner's .

A blank came on the River leading to Eli chopping it up with the Broadway straight and the shortstack (right of picture) being forced to hit the rail.

Barry Martin is OUT, his nut flush being rivered by a set which transformed into a full house.

Dubai goes bust:

I was literally just asked for a chip count for the popular maniac, when I got to his table to see 20k in front of him which he'd just bet at Thien Phan on a flop of Two Diamonds.  A brief pause - then call.  Instantly Dubai announces, "All in in the dark," shoving his last 23,500 in as the hits on the turn.  Thien Phan thinks for a minute and makes the call with , while Dubai flips .  The two spades on the river looks very brick-like and Dave Shallow's dramatic run is at an end.

Hellmuth vs. Matey vs. Appleman hand:

A flop of three clubs gets them going - looks like either Phil Hellmuth or Mickey Appleman bet, the young Matey on the button raised, and found Appleman shoving in response.  Stuck in the middle, the man with Poker Brat emblazoned across his back was clearly displeased at having this decision (the hands shoot up, "Jesus!" is invoked).  Eventually he passes leaving Matey committed to call and showing the unexpected .
Mickey Appleman's hand:  .
The turn:
The river:

The obvious flush draw missed, and Appleman is down to 44k.

Also on his table Hellmuth has 28,500 while Stuart Fox is short, holding on to 13,500 or so...

Sometimes you have to be here live at ringside to catch some of the moments that go unreported in most updates, and in this case it involved Barny Boatman, Huck Seed patronising, in Roy Brindley's view, the Hendon Mobber by saying he should have bet here, checked this and so on after folding to a 4k River bet from Roy. "There's a time and a place, just after you've lost a hand probably isn't it," suggest Roy.

Oh, and whilst we are on the subject off off-table antics, the Andy Black/Davood M (I can never correctly spell his surname) incident has been extended upon by witness Adrian Walsh who had the best seat in the house.

A big pot had developed with Davood being forced to fold a big hand and Andy hitting the rail, but as he left, the mad as a hatter Davood shouted, "Thank you, thank you," offering Black his gratitude for making him fold a hand that would have been beaten. "Thank you, I would have lost all my chips."

Naturally, Black didn't take to kindly to this rubdown of sorts and had a 'quiet' word in his ear.

"Crikey, it's going to take Andy a month of meditating to get over that," commented Roy tongue in cheek.

Patrick Bruel finally cracks at a guy taking ages to pass or do anything preflop each and every hand.  This is one of my personal tilt-buttons, and a couple of other people round the table were clearly feeling some degree of frustration too.  The Dweller wasn't having it, though, and I think people on this table (unlike the Mehrmand one) are conserving their energy for the tournament rather than fighting.  Dave Colclough (pictured) is on that table and just lost a couple of thousand limping in early position and calling a raise, then betting 3k on the three diamonds flop when it was checked to him.  The preflop raiser called, leaving a double-check on the turn and a fold from Dave when he faced a 5k bet out on the two spades river.

But that's OK, the DTD Omaha expert is still on around 70k.

Noah Boeken is now OUT - I know because he's sat opposite me poring over a laptop.

A couple of other counts:

Markus Golser  19k
Annie Duke  42k
Martin Wendt  59k

Mr. Wendt just lost a pot and kind of left the area less than delighted - it was Johnny Chan who bet out 6k on a flop, called by Martin.  The turn brought the Two Clubs, and Chan bet the pot - 22,800.  Eventually, call.
River:  .  Chan slowly checks, after counting out his remaining stack (around 22k).  Martin Wendt checks behind and stares at the which Chan shows him for about 30 seconds before mucking his own hand and stalking off for a minute.

A quick browse around the room informs me that Iwan Jones is missing presumed lost, as is Hassin Habib. I also spotted Mark Vos in another tournament, so he's definitely pushing up the daisies. Most worryingly, however, British star Stuart Fox seems to be hiding, hopefully he's just changed seats, although he was very shortstacked.

Dave Colclough is enjoying a very steady tournament, well above average whilst still staying in touch with the people at the top. Around 80k for the blonde one.
