They were once table neighbours, but it looks like they're rail neighbours now, both their seats vacant. Will need to confirm these exits though as there is a lot fo moving around going on.

---------

Richard Ashby is OUT. Got it in with top set on a Jack high Flop, but lost to a flush draw which cruelly arrived on the River.

---------

Danish EPT final tabler (twice) Theo Jorgensen is a gonna, he ran into trip Aces.

Dubai doubles up Marc Karam - he raised preflop and found left-hand-side neighbour Karam re-raising the pot.  It passed back round and Dave called.
Flop:    Dubai just plonks a stack of yellow 1k chips in, Karam moves in, and he's more than easily covered.
Dubai shows:
Marc shows:  three clubs

The turn and river are two spades giving the EPT double finalist the nut flush and a stack twice as big as it was at the beginning of the hand.

Button-wielding Henning Granstad is short stacked, but just got away with betting 2,600 on a board of without a call - he got the five or sixway flop down to one opponent for the turn (which was checked) and bet the river - he got a fold, but also, "I know you haven't got it..."

Oh, and the Mads Andersen who was leading the $1,500 isn't this one (the one we know) it's another one: Mads Wissing Andersen.  So no multitable.

Brian Haversen bets 6k into a board of Two Diamonds , leaving himself just 3 or 4k behind. After a lengthy period in the think tank, Jason Lester folds, only for Brian to show him .

Roy Brindley (45-50k) says, "I've been up and down up and down. I'll be all right if I can get a beer."

Meanwhile, Paul Jackson pays off last year's Main Event finalist (3rd, in fact) 2k bet on a board of , Binger quickly announcing Pocket Threes for a full house.

How about this for an eclectic table!

Jeff Kimber -- 12,100
Martin Vallo -- 43,700
Dave Callaghan -- 15,700
Joe Beevers -- 23,500
Michael Greco -- 22,500
Doyle Brunson -- 48,300
Thomas Wahlroos

And if you're wondering why I've left The Eggman's count out, it's because he's stacking his chips, a 5k Turn bet followed by 11k on the River of a three diamonds two spades board being enough to get his neighbour to fold... reluctantly.

1st  Jeff Lisandro -- $134,000
2nd  Terrence Chan -- $113,000
3rd  Patrik Antonius -- $100,000
4th  John Duthie -- $95,500
5th  Sam Grizzle -- $90,000
6th  Chan Ping -- $76,000
7th  'Miami' John Cernuto -- $65,000
8th  Davidson Matthew -- $61,500
9th  Fabrice Soulier -- $58,200
10th Steve Sung -- $57,300

Marc Karam is here in the pressroom relating his tales of woe to a fellow journalist fans, so I'm afraid he's bitten the dust.

Jeff Kimber is OUT - Short stacked JaffaCake re-raised Doyle Brunson preflop (sandwiching one caller in the middle) t0 6,200 (blinds are now 200/400).  Doyle made the call, and this left them heads up for the three clubs flop.  It was pretty irrelevant what came on the flop, because Jeff only had 3,400 behind, which Doyle now bet out, getting an instacall.
Jeff showed:

Jeff gets up, stopping to relate the tale to Paul Jackson sitting at the table behind him.  "At least there's something for my blog," says Jeff, planning the entry How I Got Rivered By A Legend, or some such.

Paul Jackson (pictured here trying to out-dour Juha Helppi) just got paid on the river like so:
Small blind Paul had called preflop, as had Juha.  The flop was checked to the raiser, who declined to bet, but bet the turn.  Paul flat called but then quickly bet out the river for 3,400.  His opponent took a long time before calling, and being shown the for the straight (which won).

An announcement was made in the Amazon Room during this last level - that there were 314 entries, "With 314 rebuys...36 places will be paid, with 36th place being $22,137, first prize $768,889, and everything else in between."

Some wiseguy on the table behind me shouted out, "What place does the Rio come, 3rd or 4th?"  Roll Eyes

Dave Callaghan has doubled up, but it was a close one, Thomas Whalroos the man to push him to the limit.

With just 5.5k in chips and facing a board of , Dave bets 2.5k only for The Eggman to put him for his remaining 3k.

EggMan =

Callaghan =

Turn =

River =

This leaves Wahlroos with 29,900.

Meanwhile, on another able, another Irishman (although Northern) is Marty Smith, currently struggling with 15,500 but still well in touch.

Peter Charalambous, the Londoner who I believe Jen pictured earlier, is slying high(ish) with 66k.

Meanwhile, everytime I pass Dubai, he has come chips in the middle, but it's working - he's currently sitting on (actually, sitting's the worst possible word) around 5-60k.

---------

John Kabbaj is OUT.

6 way pot on Table Dubai including Dubai himself, Kabbaj, Duthie, Ted Lawson and two mateyboys. Everyone checked the Turn and awaited the River, the board reading . Checked around to Mateyboy who pushes all-in with for 5.9k, only to be called by Kabbaj who had Queens (although John may have been in before the River). Either way, he's a gonna.

----------

Rumour has it that Bruno Fitoussi and Phil Laak are both OUT, pretty sure about the former, but the latter will need a double check with the grapevine.

Michael Greco is OUT. Ran into Aces which held up.

---------

Juha Helppi is OUT.

A multi-way pot saw Juha push over the top of an early position bet (there were 2 other initial callers too, including Todd Brunson, who folded) with a rather weakish hand, but somehow found himself ahead.

Juha =

Mateyboy =

But, unfortunately for the flying Fin, the vulnerable lead was short-lasted as the board came , Helppi slapping the air in frustration as he left.

----------

Stuart Fox is up to 14k after coming back from the lunch break with only 1,700. He was all-in three times and won them all.

His pre-dinner hit was a standard one, set of Kings outdrawn by a flush draw.

Barry Martin is OUT, his nut flush being rivered by a set which transformed into a full house.

Dubai goes bust:

I was literally just asked for a chip count for the popular maniac, when I got to his table to see 20k in front of him which he'd just bet at Thien Phan on a flop of Two Diamonds.  A brief pause - then call.  Instantly Dubai announces, "All in in the dark," shoving his last 23,500 in as the hits on the turn.  Thien Phan thinks for a minute and makes the call with , while Dubai flips .  The two spades on the river looks very brick-like and Dave Shallow's dramatic run is at an end.

Hellmuth vs. Matey vs. Appleman hand:

A flop of three clubs gets them going - looks like either Phil Hellmuth or Mickey Appleman bet, the young Matey on the button raised, and found Appleman shoving in response.  Stuck in the middle, the man with Poker Brat emblazoned across his back was clearly displeased at having this decision (the hands shoot up, "Jesus!" is invoked).  Eventually he passes leaving Matey committed to call and showing the unexpected .
Mickey Appleman's hand:  .
The turn:
The river:

The obvious flush draw missed, and Appleman is down to 44k.

Also on his table Hellmuth has 28,500 while Stuart Fox is short, holding on to 13,500 or so...
