are the rumours true? i heard that stu rutter has abandoned the scarf in favour of a hat... this is an outrage

gl to him... he will need it without the scarf

In his own words, and I must emphasise they came out of HIS mout... "I have a condom on my head."

At least he's protected if a passing bird mucks on his head.

He should find some women with more class than that.

And the call of the day award goes to...

That's Mad Turk, just in case nobody got the Catchphrase-esque clue - I thought Yucel Eminoglu might have been a bit tricky.

Anyhow, what a call it was, and one that led to the untimely exit of the far from timid Ken Broad. It was Ken who actually started the action, raising it up to 800 pre-flop and being called in two places, Peter 'The Bandit' Evans and Turk in the blind.

The Flop came Two Diamonds and everyone checked. The turn was the three diamonds, which led to Turk betting 3k, Ken raising to 7k, Bandit folding and Turk flat calling.

River time, and the dealer popped out a seemingly irrelevant , but it was one in which seemed to trigger an all-in from Broad for 14k after the Mad Turk had checked.

Think tank time, but Turk eventually made a truly class call for all but 1.5k of his chips with Pocket Fives, catching his opponent and his Big Slick with fingers firmly clinging onto the side of the cookie jar.

Could anyone else have called that? I told Yucel I would have made the call easy peasy, and a few seconds quicker than him (cough).

lol is broad the loud mouth who plays the highly skilled game of roulette and kindly lets the whole casino know when he hits his numbers.

If so me and shaf were at the cash desk cashing in and he stolled over with a rack of the highest denom chip and said. "what takes you guys days takes me minutes"

I wish i could play roulette as well as him Smiley

There has been a flurry of exits the last 15 mins.  After Mickey Wernick went down to 2.5k, he called a small raise with    against Ram Lakha.  The flop came:

Two Diamonds  all the chips went in from Mickey with his flush draw but Lakha called with    for top pair and no improvement for Mickey meant his exit.

Lakha is the small stack annihilator also disposing of K Vasilliou's    with a mighty  .

Another casualty is Peter "the bandit" Evans but sorry neither of us saw his exit happen.

We have 52 left on an average of 18,500.

Short break and 200 / 400 on their return.

We lost A Pearce no thanks to Julian Thew.  Julian made up a raise with     the flop was 9 high but with 2 diamonds.  Julian bet out 2k and young Pearce went all in for his remaining 6k with  .  Jules called the outstanding 4k and golden round things hit a diamond on the river.  To quote Mr Thew "If I knew how much the lad had left, I would have check raised instead of betting out 2k."

Also sorry to Peter Evans, he is not out at all but just went for brisk walk earlier.  I'm gonna blame the card room manager for this but of info but in the same sentence gonna praise him highly for getting me and snoops FREE baguettes because i sniffly told him we missed the buffet earlier!!!

A quick report courtesy of your roving reporter Chili, who just plopped this piece of paper in front of me like a waitress... except, unfortunately, without the loverly jubberly attire.

"Dan Carter lost a good chunk of his stack and is down to about 5k. Just caught the end with his A-Q against A-K and A-6 failing to improve on a King high board. Looks like it was all-in pre-flop"

It looks like this chap, Dean Mitchell, is the current chip leader with just under 50k.
