Ram Lakha will certainly be breathing heavily now because he's just eliminated a hugely disappointed Tony Cartwright. The swan song hand was pretty straight forward and unfolded quicker than a speeding bullet. Ram raised it up with , Tony moved all-in with and Ram called.

Board = Two Diamonds

... and that was all she wrote for Tony.

Tony Cartwright is OUT and becomes the 7th place finisher winning £3,465

Drama at the final table as in the space of just one or two hands, another all-in is announced, this time Dennis Troake the player with his back firmly stapled to the wall. The man with the sniper gun is Julian Thew, and his ammo looks pretty deadly, a Kings versus Eights encounter sure to propel Jools' stack towards more dizzy heights. However, the poker gods disagreed, and although the 6-A-T-2 board looked relatively harmless, Julian was plunged into the river right at the death, Troake banging the table in an adrenalin pumped moment as the dealer popped out a third Eight.

For the first time in a while, Julian looked slightly taken back, his body sagging in the aftermath. Meanwhile, Troake apologised, maybe for the outdraw, maybe for the outburst, I don't know, and Julian stoically answered, "It's okay."

Next hand!

Ash Hussain raises on the button to 22k, Ram pushes for his final 33k and Ash insta calls and flips his  over.  Ram shows    but doesnt get any help at all from the board only 2 queens instead which means:

Ram Lakha finishes in 6th place for £4,620

We are now on Level 16 and blinds have gone to 5K / 10K.  There was some chatter about missing some levels and shortening the clock but its a stiff no from the tourney Directer Keith (Steven Gerrard lookalikie who might go for a night out in Liverpool some time soon) they play on.

5 players left

Matt Tyler is OUT and becomes the 5th place finisher winning £6,160

The shortstack of the five remaining players, Matt Tyler, pushes all-in with and is instacalled and that's insta with a capital 'I' (actually, let's make it all capitals)... INSTACALLED by Michael Artemis who proudly showed .

However, that joy soon turned to chagrin as the first card came out a Seven on a Flop, a devastated Michael understandably letting slip the odd expletive. But before he'd barely finished his mumbling of naughty words, the hit the Turn to send a relieved Michael into ecstasy. A later and Matt was forced to exit stage left, deep in the knowledge that he'd been cruelly teased by the poker gods.

And with Julian out of the way, the three agree to a three-way split. Dennis Troake was the slight chip leader and so take the trophy and the title, but the real winners here are the bloggers who get to go home earlier than expected.  cupcake

Ash Hussain is the 3rd place finisher winning £15,760

Michael Artemis is the 2nd place finisher winning £15,760

DENNIS TROAKE IS THE BROADWAY POKER FESTIVAL CHAMPION WINNING £15,760
