Just before we throw ourselves into the enormouos dinner queue, a smattering of chip counts for you guys.

Priyan De Mel -22k or so...

Here he is, looking pleased with his day's work so far...

Albert "Honey Monster" Sapiano has been relatively quiet today, at least as far as I have noticed. His stack appears to have dwindled to 6k or so. Looks like he's been missing a few flops...

Sunny Chattha is happy, he won a big pot with K-K vs Q-Q and the hitsquad member is up and around the 20k mark at the moment.

Luke Patten has roughly 15k...sadly Paul Parker is down to roughly 6k or so...

Dave Colclough just grabbed by notepad off me as I passed by him and scribbled a note out for me. Here it is virtually unedited.

"Biggest pot on table 5.

508(Robert Cowen) limps with 44, 505 (Tony Ringe) raises to 1100 and he calls.

The flop come 4-4-2

Check raise both the table chip leaders allin for another 17.5k each. Quads wins 37k pot..."

I guess this means that Robert will be our chip leader at the dinner break and it looks like that's the end of the tournament for Tony Ringe...

Finally, I asked the beautiful and highly photogenic Dena if I could take a quick photo of her, for general blonde norkage purposes and she reluctantly agreed.

Here is the lovely lady...

Ok, off to stuff my face but we'll be back soon guys...

Double-up for the gent in the pale fuschia shirt, Mr Steve Phillips.

I saw him shoving for his last 2075 on a board that read .

Across the table, the gent in the red jacket and the hair, one Darren Baxter, sighed. "Were you flushing on the flop? Did you miss? I've got Ace-high and I'm thinking it's good." He calls, and it turns out that Mr Phillips had basically nothing on the flop, as he turns over for the rivered house. Mr Baxter looks sort of sick, like a man who's just lost a bunch of chips with Ace-high.

Also gone is Robert/Max Wilfred. Down to just 2250 he shoved under the gun with pocket Eights, but was instacalled by Glynn Rees. Ghassan Elhoss  announced, "I like you, I don't want to call you," but probably just had a rubbish hand and laid it down. Unluckily for Wilfred, Rees turned over pocket Queens and with no help from the board - three clubs - he's gone.

On the not-out front, Paul Noble has doubled up - somehow. Catching the very end of the hand, I find him all-in and called on an x-2-x-x-A board, holding pocket Aces. His opponent, the legend that is Woody Deck, is holding K-2. I have no idea how this came to pass. Sorry.

Another interesting hand from Woody Table Woody Deck. The Deck Man bets out 1500 in early position, and finds fairly swift callers in Rudders and Glynn Rees, and possibly someone else although I admit I don't really know because honestly I didn't get particularly interested in this hand until the flop when Woody insta-shoved for his 10k+ stack. With some reluctance, Rudders passes. "YESSS!!!" says Deck. "No," says Ghassan Elhoss, "There's still one more." Glynn Rees dwells up long enough to get through a hypothetical delicious Brighton Grosvenor buffet queue, but eventuall he passes. Deck shows . Rudders is telling everyone he passed Queens...

Andy Greekfish is also gone, not sure what he had but it was no match for Tala Shakerchi's pocket Tens on the T-x-7-x-7 board.

Also out, and sort of on a Woody Deck-type theme, one Paul Smallwood.

Any crazy Alli Mallu/Mick Fletcher type hands?

Um, no. Sad

Except for this one. Smiley

Ali Mallu went out a little while back, most unfortunately (thanks, Phil):

Ali and two other players saw a 4-7-9 flop and a Ten on the turn. A which point it all went crazy. Guy A bet, and Guy B moved in over the top. Then Ali Mallu moved over the top of that, and Guy A called.

On their backs, Ali Mallu - 6-8 for the made straight
Guy A - 9-9 for the set
Guy B - A-Q, for, er, Ace-high

But the river is another Seven giving Guy A a full house and sending Ali hurtling most undignifiedly (probably) to the rail. Unlucky. We think the lucky winner of the 40k pot was either Adrian Passfield or Daniel Evans.

Mick Fletcher's still in, though, apparently very comfortable on around 35k. Will endeavour to hover around his table...

News has reached me of various eliminations.

To bring you up to speed here they are!

Roberto Romanello, the silver toungued Welshman, had got rather short and his verbal acuity couldn't get him out of his predicament. I didn't see his exit hand, but i doubt he went quietly...

Here he is in happier times.

Paul Parker was also elminated, just before the break unfortunately. The loss of Roberto and Paul in quick succession is a big loss to the tournament, causing its bright shirt and decibel quotient to drop faster than, well this guy...

Darren Beaker, Kevin O'Leary, Stavros Ioannou, Mark James, Bran Lenton and Ghassan Elhoss are also recent casualties. Elhoss was particuarly unlucky , making a good call on the turn with Ah on a board, happy to fin his opponent Clive Layton had made a move with and very few outs.

The on the river was one of them though and a dejected Elhoss was sent to the rail.

The battle continues....

Players are on a short break. We should have full chip counts after that.

In the meantime  I can tell you that our current chip leader is probably Steve Jelinek (probably I will be humiliated when the official counts come through) on 46k.

Other counts -
Dave Colcough - around 13k
Liv Boeree - 15k, although she told Sharplea to put her down as 20k
Rob Taylor - 23k, which is pretty impressive as he was down to just 3k at the end of Level 3. His new sponsor, Green Joker Poker's Mike Lacey, is celebrating by outdrawing full houses with quads in the cash game and drinking heavily.
Dubai looks like he has a massive, in fact uncountably-by-the-the-naked-eye-massive stack, but actually he doesn't seem to have that many purple chips (the good ones). Like I said, official counts on their way...

OUT I'm afraid is our Bruce Lee-a-likey S. Wan. Hopefully the guy who took him out lived to tell the tale.
