A long time ago there was a true story about a young man on the Compaq support line. He had a phone call from a customer who could not get their machine working.......having spent some time trying to rectify the fault the young man very politely asked the customer "Have you checked the socket in the wall to ensure that it is on?". After some scrabbling about the customer said "It is now". At this point the young man having ensure the computer was now working asked the customer the following
"Could you now unplug it and put it back into the box exactly as you found it as you seem to have a problem with it"
"What is that?" said the customer
"You are not ready to own one"

He was of course sacked

i use pdf creator - works a treat

You may be able to create a pdf by going to Print then choosing Acrobat as a printer option.   All our pc's have this option, but I'm not sure if some of the software we have installed enables it.  I doubt it though as one is  a real old dog with nothing special on.
