Did they reopen the stopcock fully? Could be a cause of low pressure with large water flows.

Although your post is slightly confusing - is it one pump that powers both showers? And are we talking electric showers with cold feed only, or power showers with hot+cold feeds? Or one of each? Cutting out is usually a sign of low pressure on the intake - you can get cavitation damage to pumps if the suction pressure is low so a cutout is built in.

No, I'm not a plumber, but I know a thing or two about valves. And pumps.

Are you asking Compo if he has a problem with his cock not operating at the maximum?

sounds like an air lock in the feed to the 2nd shower or by draining you could have dislodged some limescale that is now affecting the shower(unlikely though)

is the shower on  a fixed head or slider rail?

is a twin feed pump i.e Hot and Cold supplies or thermostatically controlled water that is pumped often used by the elderly and senile to avoid the risk of scalding.

and do you have a tank in the loft?

I'll be back in 1 hour

BTW just because you replace a washer it doesn't always remedy the problem as sometimes you need to re-seat the tap.

Must be a twin feed pump in that case.
