The very last hand of the night goes to Dewi James, who finds ACES and talks Raymond O’Mahoney into calling his all-in preflop bet of 15k. “If I had AQ, I’d call!” says Dewi. Raymond calls holding pocket 66’s.

Highland Park is a good shout.
Bushmills... not so much. My friends call it soil whisky as they reckoned I was playing a trick on them, it was just Bushmills though.
What have you tried and what do you like?

Bit of a bump here
A customer gave me a bottle of this today.
I need to know is it worth saving for a special event or just drink it over the next few days.

Great bump btw. I really like whisky, and would like to try some different stuff. Can anybody give me some recommendations for a bottle for around £30?
highland park 12 yo +1 for this. Or spend a wee bit extra and get the 18 year old. Pure nectar.

& bushnills Irish Malt is v good too I'm just getting to the tail end of a bottle of Bushmills, previously had Glenmorangie. I think I prefer Bushmills however there isnt much in it. I have a glass now and again so a bottle will last me a good few months. Maybe I should invest a little more or just stick with what I know and stop looking for new things!!

The best Whisky you can buy is Springbank. You wont find it in the local supermarkets though.

MBSFN!!!!!!!! Enjoy it sir. It is a fairly pricey bottle, but if it was me, I'd be getting on it straight away.

Weird.
Never seen this thread before, but I think I can give a +6 to Highland Park.
I love the Islay whiskys too, but they really are an aquired taste, and are very much on the border between nectar and dogpoo.
And I don't know how anyone can slag glenmorangie when glenfiddich exists. Glenfiddich would spoil a good coke in my view, but I can drink Glenmorangie.
The best bad blended whisky has always been teachers.
