can Scottish fans tell me how good Stephen Fletcher (Hibs) and Christope Berra (spelling?) (Hearts) are please?

Premiership players, in your opinion?

IMO both need to leave their current clubs as soon as possible to develop and show what they can do at the next level. Both look to have the potential to be very good players and both are likely to be able to reach a standard where they could feature regularly with a premiership club, not yet though. I don't think either will ever play for one of the top clubs though despite the constant speculation over interest in Fletcher from Real Madrid.

A bit too specific for a Nostradamus prediction though probably more accurate.

Great interview with Harry here, he sums up the January window quite well.

15.30  Hull City manager Phil Brown has announced he would be 'very interested' in signing Liverpool's out-of-favour winger Jermaine Pennant.

Good career move for JP

Rafa's effectively sidelined him from the rest of the squad since he missed a training session.  A very talented footballer, but as dense as a neutron star.

Lots of Liverpool fans don't rate him, but I think he's a very good player.  Hull could do a lot worse.

Is a good career move, finally found his level

How he's spent his career so far at Champions league level is truly beyond me

JP couldn't do a lot worse!  I rate him too, surely someone better than Hull.  Not that me rating him is the be all and end all of course.

Rumoured to be linked with Celtic too, if McGeady is bullied out.

Id rather keep McGeady obviously, but JP will do in the mean time.

Rafa's now said that we won't be making any signings in the January window.

"It will be difficult to bring anyone in January because we have a good squad.

"To bring in anyone better than what we've got isn't easy and could be expensive."

Watch us sign a big player now...

Ludicrous price!!!

Meanwhile, I note Given has cold feet at Newcastle. Would be a quality signing for Spurs for example.

I always used to think Given was too small to ever reach 'world class', something about a keeper with Cech's physique that i'd take any day someone of Given's size for example...
