Andy Gomm is on a roll. He's now climbed up to 44k after being low stacked.

1st hand:

4 limpers, no raises.

And Gomm bets 3k into a K74 flop.

Dave Smith calls and raises 5k.

Gomm moves in for the 5k and his remaining 1700.

Dave Smith calls the 1700.

Gomm shows KQ, Smith shows K6.

Turn and river were blanks, Gomm doubled up.

Second hand:

Another battle with Dave Smith.

It appears as though Gomm had JK v Smith's J9 on a JT3 flop.

Turn = T

River = 5

Gomma doubles through again with his 2 pairs Jacks and Tens, King kicker.

We are waiting now for the END OF DAY ONE chip counts... having seen off Mr. Colclough who is still in, but only just, after an unlucky run-in with  ("Again.").  He got it all in with his Aces against Steve Bovis' J9 on a 10 10 9 flop, and you fill in the rest.  Never mind, he's still got 6k or thereabouts and is heading back tomorrow to give it a shot.

Sorry for the silence, still waiting on those counts... probably no one left to read them, but they're here - snoopy's putting in the first half and then I am sending him home, for he has done enough... many thanks to him for all his help and boundless enthusiasm.  He speaks Japanese too.  Cool.
