The only things that are white on a polar bear are the teeth & the whites of the eyes - the skin is black & the fur is clear.

Sorry mate but you are wrong about the Fur, this is one of those urban myths.

Its like the other one where people only think the earth has 1 moon. where infact it has 2.

I back Rod up ... Polar Bear fur is translucent.

To add to the foaming on this thead..

The most distant object visible to the naked eye is the Andromeda Galaxy (M31), and is approx 4 million light years from earth (that's a lot of normail miles).

Very beautiful it is too.

In the UK, driving laws do not apply to doctors on the spring and autumn equinoxes.

For the first 6-8 weeks after they start to walk, babies can only turn left - the ability to turn right develops later.

There are more calories in nineteen cream crackers than there are in four jelly babies.

Dogs can't look up.

Most of the facts in trivia lists on the internet are wrong.

Kiv as the back end of the pantomine horse?

Ginger as Peter Pan?

Heidi as the Fairy godmother?

who would be the seven dwarves?

Ok OK on the polar bear one, As I understand it, as explained by stephen fry on QI a polar bear had black skin with a double layer of fur, the top layer is translucent, and the bottom layer is not. The color white becomes visible to our eyes when an object reflects back all of the visible wavelengths of light, rather than absorbing some of the wavelengths.

At one time it was suggested that the polar bear hairs might have some of the properties of optical fibers. Apparently this is not the case.

ok I hope this clears things up.

I think Tikay has to be the big baddie, with Ironside and Robert as his henchmen.

While a good ugly sister kiv would indeed make, I think he'd be better cast as buttons.

Buttons could have a pet monkey played by matt.
