No, I don't know him, so maybe he's a nice guy, but I don't think so, his lyrics suggest otherwise. Some of the things he writes, particularly about his Mother, are too awful, but he writes them in an extraordinary way. Someone who writes about their Mother in such terms is a nasty piece of work in my book.

I don't think Lennon was  a nice guy, & I never knew him, either.

But those two guys could write better than almost any other songwriter of their era.

So I don't wanna befriend either of 'em, but I'd listen to their lyrics night & day.

There was no need to say "hes a nasty piece of work" just because Red questioned your taste in music.

Just as a debating point, on the premise that you have to have a good reason to say something before you can say it, what need does Eminen have to say the things he says?

Why not? It seemed relevant to me. I like his music. I don't think he's a nice man. I buy his albums. I don't buy him. I play his stuff non-stop. I'd not welcome his company. Mr Mathers is not the sort of man you can sit on the fence about. Love him or loathe him. I loathe him, but love his music.

I see nothing wrong with that view. If I don't express it, I'll still think it.

It's not really anything to do with Red questioning my music tastes, it's simply a comment.

Because, say, Paul Gascoigne was an absolutely awesome footballer does not mean I have to think he's a nice man. I lved his football talent, & loathed his off-field antics.

Alex Higgins, The Whirlwind, ditto ditto.

The Whirlwind. Off the table? No, I don't. And I DO know him, though not well, but well enough. I played him when he was still a school-kid - corrrection, when he was still school kid age - he was never a school kid as such, because he bunked off every day. But an extraordinary talent ON the table.

He can cope without my admiration off-table.

And he gave me a 7 black start - that's 49 points - & beat me 123-54. Of the 5 points I scored, 4 came from an in-off by him, & I fluked the only red I potted.

Mr Bluesky, a classic (especially as it's about BCFC Smiley )
Eminem is a true modern day genius, though he has retired now.............
