Scotland obv....not a good place to have a bB. Edinburgh would mean the Mrs and I could travel home after a bB and therefore booking a hotel would be a waste ...which in turn means that Friday nights will be wasted

Glasgow is a dump, Aberdeen is too cold...London is ridic expensive and any other town in the UK is just as easy to get to, and just as cheap to get to,  as Ireland is.

Bit of a cheek there, so far been to bashes in Luton, Walsall, Cardiff, Notts and Leeds and none compare favourably to Glasgow. You really should think seriously about where you want to move to when you eventually get round to it.

We're moving to Allao...I've been told there are one or two parts of it that aren't dilapidated (Or they have at least put some skirting up in the past few years or so and boarded up some of the broken windows in city centre)

And boldie, 'if I knew what you were talking about' I would say that they've been going for ages but alot of those on the main junction have moved/have been opened up.

I love the way they do roadworks and improvements they wouldn't get away with it in the UK, dig up the pavement and just put slippery thin boards down with a sprinkling of sand because thats safe when bikes are pinging past you and you're right next to a canal

The junction outside central, De Albert Cuijp, de pijp...all dug up. Yuck. (I have always hated Amsterdam though..nice for tourists maybe but not to live in. Go to Groningen or Maastricht..MUCH better)

Ya but you wouldn't live by the station, 15 mins walk west or east and you get to lovely locally areas.

Haarlem or Rotterdam are my preference tbh.

Only been to Dublin and that was once but really like it, only heard good things about Ireland
