I'll be travelling down to London for the first round tomorrow, and will update as much as I can.

Bizarrely, one update I would like to give is "travelled down to London, and almost straight away came back."

That will come about if I get a bye in tomorrow's midday draw. Though it's maybe unavoidable, it seems strange to hold a tournament where everyone has to turn up, possibly to be told they are not playing.

Anyway, once I know the result of the draw, I'll try to get someone to put it up as soon as I can.

Then will update later on, fingers crossed for good news!

hey micko, there are no live updates today. there will be from thursday (the last 16 players)

Stu asked me to update his progress on here... so this is all we have so far..

smalll turnout, so obviously the field is pretty damn strong - only ~40 players in total!

first round: bye!! (although most players seem to have got a bye)   [40 players reduced to 32]

second round draw - vs Sorel Mizzi (pretty bad news!) - still, confident that stu is good enough to hold his own against anyone out there at deepstack HU play, so this promises to be a great matchup

will update on here when i know more

Tom

(one bit of news - first round Ryan Fronda vs Richard Kellett - it all went in after a few hands on the turn after Kellett turned the nut flush vs Fronda's two pair. A pair up on the river gave Fronda a boat and a massive chip lead. Kellett then won a couple of races to get back into it a little, but Fronda took the win.

Fronda plays Bambos in the second round - the winner of this match plays the winner of Stu vs Mizzi)
