Come on then you expert gastronomes,How do you cook a perfect steak?
Mine always taste like a pair of Clarke's after wards.
Top tips please and does and don'ts.
steak out of fridge and coat in oil (not olive) season about 20 minutes before cooking. get pan/skillet really hot - i mean so hot you cant hold your hand over it for more than a second place steak into dry pan. cook for about 1 minute either side, making sure it is sealed put some unsalted butter and parsley on top of the steak and put it in the oven at 200 for 5 minutes. while this is happening, deglaze the pan with a little olive oil, and add some onions, quickly fry them off (just to annoy ironside) the key to this is the really hot pan. and allow the steak to rest for 5 minutes before serving. fyp |
