from 2+2 thread it seems robery was made more tempting by the fact the casino security was so poor and there was 4.7milly to tempt robbers just sitting behind the counter with no real increase in security

Don't think anyone was seriously hurt, fortunately. Dana experienced a similar incident like this in Monte Carlo last year when some guy went nuts and stormed the cardroom and pressroom. They really have to start upping the security at these events, especially if they advertise cash only tables.

wow, it was really very scary, i was on a table in the middle of the room, there was a commotion outside in the lobby & we figured a fight had kicked off.
all of a sudden there was lots of screaming (there was a ladies event running as well...) & folks were just running towards our end of the ballroom, the feature table stage seemed to collapse & we dived under our table with no idea what the hell was going on, our dealer said 'earthquake' & apparenty someone had shouted in german that there was a bomb which no doubt caused the panic.
after a few moments we all started to crawl quickly towards the fire escape & we were all pretty quickly outside.
kudos to ept, 2 hours later we were back in the ballroom & barring one of the 3 main event tables which was just a sea of chips you'd never have guessed at what had happened earlier.
the 1k was eventually cancelled (sigh) but i think all other events are continueing - would quite like to drink heavily now but i'm due a stint on the ept live feed soon, prob wouldn't be the best start....
