What, PW Remodelling & that sort of stuff? I noticed yesterday that they have remodelled the PW in York Station - done a great job, got an award too.

Tramway Museum at Crich? I worked 3 miles from there for 20 odd years, Heage. Used to pop up to the Museum most lunchtimes, find a bench, eat my sarnies & daydream of driving some of their kit. Happy days.

i was down at York 2 weeks ago, for a 'Permanent Way Institution' (Institution for Rail / Civil Engineers)(was pestered into joining, purely for a good drink at the function Grin) Conference!

Stayed in the Moet House Hotel over looking the river! Not bad.

ended up in some weird night club, called 'The Reflex' till 4 am the night before the conference, i was like a 'half shut knife' the whole way through the next takes event!

The reflex nightclub, did have a revolving dance floor tho, which was a bit of a novelty!

anyway must dash

One last thing, welded track does make for asmoother & quieter ride, I'll grant that, but I do miss - very much - the old clickety click, clickety clack, clackety click, clickety clack. That and slam door trains, my favourite sounds. I've got LP's of Steam engines you know, Videos too.

With respect, Wolfy, you heathen, it's not "click clacking" it's clickety clack, followed by clackety click. Would you like me to explain why?
