Bradford on sat was a nice stroll up from Chester, got there fine about 2.15, parked up (on cemetary road), but there was no ticket waiting there, the old clipboard man didn't have a scooby doo about it, so no problem I paid on the gate and will claim it back, not exactly a life changing £8 to get in.
Decent game, BPA were 4-0 up after 35mins, with it being an athletics track, very open and imagine they 'know' how to play the wind there, play with it 1st half and get a good lead. 5th home win on the spin I think.
This was an Evo-stick Premier game, the league that Halifax Town are romping, I think at Halifax away games they've had more away fans than home at every ground bar FC United (I read that the other day, not 100% sure its correct.
They didnt need my services afterall

lol, do you know where the ground is Girgy?
I've only ever been to Bradford for the football grounds, surprised how big it is actually, well, when I pulled off the M62 it was 2-0 to West ham, but by the time I'd parked up it was 2-4 to Manu U!
I did do a little U turn in Lidl after missing the turning though.

I much prefer Mellor, someone who'll keep his head down, work hard, not get carried away and score a fair few.

Have you seen Ben Futcher play chip ? Would be interested what you make of him.
I assume he's not going to sign for Hudd, so you must know him, perhaps best not to speak bad of someone 6'7''...!
No, I think I have done a couple of times for Bury, does what tall players do I suppose, has never had to jump for headers so always loses a few you'd expect him to win, not oo graceful on the deck but as expected.
Yeah i know him
Manager at Bury did't seem to rate him, so thought he might get a shout when he left for Scunny. Bury put youth team manager in till end of season though so he doesn't expect a game. Shame really, he should be in his prime now, contract is up in summer too.
Unused sub on sat, still hope maybe for a few games?
Yeah hope so, he's a good lad. One of them that's good at all sports, plays golf off 1 or 2, his dad and uncle (twins) were pro footballers too. Paul and Ron Futcher, originated from Chester as it happens.

Mystery why he wasn't playing. I had heard it was because of the number of loans that were allowed and that our defenders on loan were seen as more important but not checked the numbers and don't think that is the case.
Still wants to sign a permanent deal so hopefully Megson likes him now. Not been too fussed about Morrison or Heffernan (although he's had few oportunities). Madine will stay after only just signing but out of all of them Mellor is the one i'd want leading the attack next season.

Mellor is on a big chunk at Preston, and they still pay the majority of his wages now. Is you money situation improving?
Yeah 5 loan signings in a matchday squad.

Don't think Mandaric is going to make any money without us getting back into the Championship so guess he will spend further but depends where Megson thinks we are weak and when contracts are up. Morrison and Heffernan have another year left so unless somebody can take them then I don't think we'll get Mellor if he's on big money.

ChipPrince have you seen much of Torquay, They have a local lad Eunan O'Kane he was at Everton as a kid got released back to Coleraine FC then had a great season and Torquay snapped him up.
Seems to have done well and gets alot of goals from midfield and has had a few nice reports. If you have seen him be interested to hear your thoughts on his ability and future in the game.
Cheers.

Have you seen or heard reports of Jeff Schlupp, yet?
Currently at Brentford, on loan from us
Meant to be our next big thing, as much as we do big things....pacey winger

Hey mate, yeah I saw Torquay at Stockport about November time. He was playing alongside a lad on loan from QPR, Oastler, who that day was the more impressive. But notice Oastler now seems to be on bench, O'Kane starting so looks like he's had a good season.

I know as much as you, in that he's scored a couple and impressed so far. I didn't see the cup final, but Colchester play Brentford in 2 weeks so will get a chance to see them/him soon maybe.

I had another saturday off this weekend, had the option to do a game but needs must at home, still plenty to do on the house we bought last year, outside stuff mainly.
Did the usual of getting the little fella up on sunday morning, and settled him down to watch MOTD and football league show on his mat, me on the sofa. Starting to show his colours, well a dislike of QPR anyway, Camel & AndrewT will be disappointed. In the 1st photo he's watching scunny on the attack, then when the 4th goes in, that right arm is sneaking up there to celebrate. Need to clamp down on this I think, point him in the right direction.
