Watched this briefly this morning. Only saw 1 miner come up and i have to say whilst he seemed pleased to be rescued, he didn't seem overly pleased to see his wife!

Wonderfull just wonderfull.
There's not many times in history when a real life rescue is shown live on TV.
Its so nice to not see footballers and WAGS getting the main news stories
England sucked last night, by the way

Watched this briefly this morning. Only saw 1 miner come up and i have to say whilst he seemed pleased to be rescued, he didn't seem overly pleased to see his wife!
One of them came up to see his wife and mistress who had met for the first time, [ ] mbn
"Marta Salinas, the wife of 28 years of trapped miner Yonny Barrios, is boycotting the rescue that is to start late Tuesday in northern Chile because the man's lover will be there.
Barrios has been trapped with 32 other miners 700 metres underground in the San Jose copper mine since the shaft they were working in collapsed on August 5.
'I am happy because he made it, it's a miracle of God. But I'm not going to see the rescue. He asked me to, but it turns out that he also asked the other lady, and I am a decent woman. Things are clear: it's her or me,' Salinas said.
'I won't even watch it on TV. Besides, in phone conversations and in the letters he has sent me it's clear that he is fine, and that's enough for me,' she said.
The woman has clashed with the other woman, Susana Valenzuela, who claimed she was Barrios' lover. "

this
absolute priviledge to watch a guy come out of there and the unbounded joy involved. Gives new meaning to the phrase incred scenes.
I saw the second manny come out just after 5am this morning, good for the soul it was.
fk watching 33 of them though, fk watching 3 of them in fact

just for a laugh, how about when there is only one miner left down there they play a voice over saying ....ok thats all of them out well done everbody lets back thouse concrete lorries up and seal it up .......secret cameras can film the last miner as he franticaly calls out on his non working phone.........then the chileian equiliviant of jeremy beadle can jump out on him and say are you game for a laugh......
if they did that film of that miner would still be shown in twenty years time ,where as this rescue will be old news in twenty days

This will not be old news in a few days. It will last generations
I saw the first moon landing on TV in 1969
I saw Charles and Dianas Wedding in 1975 ( 1981 )
I watched Live Aid all day in 1985
And I watched the Twin towers collapse 2001
The miners rescue will be remembered as 2010's great story.
I heard Warner Brothers have asked Bruce Willis if he will play the mining contractor who bores the rescue hole.
Trapped underground will be Matt Damon and Keano Reaves who's girl friend will be Liv Tyler waiting on the surface
The Chilean President to be played by Billy Connolly

Wasn't wife. She'd already refused to attend despite being requested to do so by officials. No clue who he actually requested though.
