I certainly think old Cos has contributed more than anyone, overall, in the last year of so for all the reason Guy has said. In that regard I also think Tikay and Tighty are equally deserving of an award.

It does seem a shame you cant single out a particular achievement because it makes it look like a popularity award, but you can call it a lifetimes achievement, he is getting on a bit after all.

So if you win your first tournament and post alot you get put in HOF?

It is as much about rewarding small players as it is the big guys, that was the premise under which it was set up. and not necessarily poker achievements either

We have always, it seems, struggled to explain this well enough for people to accept it

I think my OP was brief but what Guy and Daveshoelace said.

This is not an April fools. Just unfortunate timing.

And I didn't realise it had to be done privately etc.

I understand it needs to be for a special reason and I wasn't too succinct in my OP but I believe most people get the gist as to why Costas belongs in the hall of fame
