I don't get the lol at WP to villian Alex. As you are probably aware, George is a very capable live and online player. Ignoring, for a moment, what the villian may, or may not be holding., surely, making an aggressive move, which puts George to a difficult decision, gains the initiative in the hand, buys a river card cheaply (if drawing or behind) and probably gives himself a large chunk of fold equity if he is actually behind but continues betting, is no bad thing.
At the same time, if villian does have a set, he's built the pot up nicely, should George continue in the hand, from his OOP spot and may well take George to value town. VWP Villian Smiley

You say you are struggling. Always an idea to look at your mentality when you are struggling. In this spot you have one of the smallest stacks at the table and you are anxious about getting into an inflated hu pot with queens cos somebody opens 4x. You focus on the very worst case scenario developing when you should be thinking about the best way to extract value with a premium hand. Unless the table is aggro behind I don't know why calling would be a better value move than 3betting the UTG open. I don't think the flop is gross for your hand either. Pretty negative thought process going on. However I agree the min raise is something to sigh about.

yeh i think this is evident in all of your play/thought processes here. you're scared to be getting in Xbbs with QQ pre in case they have Aces or its a big flip. I think you know this is the wrong mentality and until you get rid of those thoughts your play will suffer. You're good, you know it - so just remember that and play like you can - the results will come!

i think another thing here george is when you are suffering a bit, reverting back to ABC and not taking weird lines is probably your friend (and might pay dividends if regs arent expecting you to be ABC)

flatting pre is terrible

I don't think its terrible but I'd 3bet

A lot of people don't like 3betting UTG raisers cos if he's tight you really narrow your own range so readless I think flatting has merit
