plus with Leeds until the downfall we werent fighting relegation every single year.

must be really hard following a club like West Ham/B'Ham/Wigan where a good season is finishing 17th

West Ham haven't always been relegation fodder

This. Last yr the writing was on the wall but the yr b4 i think we finished 7th? Our best finish has been 5th. Were/we should be a top 10 team imo. At the very least top 14. About 12 teams in the league as always going be battling relegation until the last few games anyways such is the leage

No one has posted rubbing it in posts, alot of encouragement and support for west ham that they will be back.  Being in the championship is not the end of the world that's all people are saying. Wether u want to tell them to f off or not. We had 4-5 haters dancing on our thread when we went down! Lol

Doncaster no smaller a club than Wigan. The championship is an amazing league. Its if you go down to League One you gotta be worried nowadays, gg Sheffield clubs.

I cant agree with ya mate. [  ] Champoinship>>>>>prem? Do me a favour!

For excitement, players who care and atmosphere/banter between fans, everytime!

I would like Leeds to get back to the Prem so we can see "we told you we'd be back" and become a big force in English football again but theres a small part of me would be upset that we are leaving behind players who care, home grown players and loads of local  games/derbys.

Yeh gd post. I do agree with that

your a bit older than me george and being a Man Utd fan I'm sure your up on your London based clubs performances so I wont argue with you.

I have just always seen them as a bit of a shit club that think they have the best fans in the world?

Just got more knowledge of football than you obv mate.

I would probably argue you have more knowledge of other teams results, stats and past performance.  I would have more knowledge of what it is like to go to games, the songs that fans sing and what its like to support a team that is local to me caring about results no matter what league my team is in.

Doubt it. I don't class supporting a team anymore or less by what songs are sung.

I've had this argument many times before and am happy to have it again. My support of Man U may be for a number of reasons. It might be cos they're successful, it might be because I'm Indian and we all support Man U or liverpool don't we? Or it might be cos my family are from Manchester eh? Doubtful though.

Just because they're successful though doesn't mean you support your team more than I do.

Sorry George I can't help myself.  I like your avatar its v.nice.

I guess I just assume that Man Utd fans arent really proper supporters as I have been to old trafford more than every single Man Utd supporter I have met, excluding 2 irish lads I met at uni that used to travel across for games.

My limited personal experience has tarnished my opinion of Man Utd fans so I apologise for tarring you with the same brush.

Its getting expensive there now, have you had to reduce the amount of games you go to since the glazers took over?

Nope I haven't actually. Although it is tough for me to get tickets. You can probably appreciate (well you probably can't because I don't think u have any children) I have 4 kids and for some reason the mrs isn't keen on me making a round trip every weekend to watch Man U. Sorry if that isn't ok in your book.

However I was a season ticket holder for 3 years. Do I pass in your eyes now?

I know you used to have a season ticket you put it on the Man Utd thread where a similar debate took place.

anyway.  I think that going down isnt the end of the world, it might seem it but at the end of the day there are quite a few decent clubs in the championship and its refreshing playing in a league where every single decision isnt debated for days.

Championship is a great league especially if you go to games. While I am obviously happy we got promoted as I want my club to be as good as they can be, I probably won't enjoy going to games as much as I did unless we are suprisingly succesful.

Getting thrashed every week and paying £10-15 more for the privilege isn't all it is cracked to be.

Mate of mine who supports West Ham says he was chatting to David Sullivan today and apparently the name Mark Robins cropped up in terms of who they are looking at for new manager.

Would've thought they would be looking for a bigger name and hes not even in the betting but watch this space.
