Clearly should be whaling all underwear answers.

I was tempted to invoke the whale rule. However, I felt specifying "thermal" was enough to differentiate. And seeing as I wasn't grouping those two together I decided to leave Claw's seperate too.

So I could have said "left sock" or "thermal sock" and that would have gotten me an ace?

Didn't think so, they are the same thing. Same with all the underwear answers.

Think dressing gown is a great answer, it's cold and wet outside and Longines has decided to go and watch a football match on tv (you didn't state going out to watch a football match) so stays in his dressing gown...........no?

'underwear' isn't even an item of clothing, it's a type of clothing.  could mean pants, vests, leggings etc.  fail underwear (thermal or otherwise), ace knickers imo.

This is true. However, i'd have prob whaled the answers together under this heading anyway so am prepared to leave as is.

but anyone who said 'underwear' is wrong.  you asked for an item, they have given you a generic reply.  you're not whaling 'outerwear' items, are you?

No but the various items of underwear serve the same purpose and people often refer to it as underwear no matter which item they happen to be wearing. I am a nice QM and am prepared to not get too picky in this spot Smiley
