need some controversy so i object to south sudan, think its all one country
Think they split it recently. google maps is sh1t3 then  Wikipedia is good though: South Sudan became an independent state on 9 July 2011.[9][10] On 14 July 2011, South Sudan became a United Nations member state.[11][12] It joined the African Union on 28 July 2011.[13] ok i oblect coz its officially the Republic of South Sudan |

For a similar situation imagine the question "Name a team who has won the Premier League". Blackburn would for example be a fail using this logic as they won the Premiership. But they're both clearly the same competition.

And just gone onto Wikipedia. Typing European Cup redirects to Champions League.
Second paragraph: Prior to 1992, the tournament was officially called the European Champion Clubs' Cup but was usually referred to as simply the European Cup.
It's clearly referring to it as being the same competition. The Champions League wasn't a new competition in its own right. It's just a renaming of the European Cup.

Saying Forest have won the Champions League is not like saying Blackburn have won the Prem (which they have), it's like saying Liverpool have won the Prem because they won the old division one. *Bash* Overruled |

Still the same competition. Just realised i'm not exactly right about the Premiership I don't think. Certainly not officially named that now. But I think Premier League has always been valid. Meh whatever, my point still stands |
