Don't you sign a disclaimer beforehand?

ESPN rules with a iron fist

If you refuse to show 3 times (I think its 3) you will get thrown out of the tournament.

Yeah was a penalty for not showing. PA was on the same table when he did not get a penalty.

There is probably something somewhere in the rules that they could reference. Unless you are high profile enough for the floor to get starstruck. Negreanu wasn't bothering with the stupid 'must verbalise all actions on final tables' rules but the players got warnings for not adhering to the rule once Negreanu busted.

Yes, but my question is, really, does that Disclaimer specifically say you are obliged to "show" the ESPN cameras?

I guess I've answered my own question. If Rupert got a penalty for not doing so, we must assume it is a condition within the Disclaimer.

As the players get no fee, it seems a liberty to me, but I cannot imagine a single player in the WSOP Main refusing to play becaise of onerous T & C's.

I could never have imagined that in a million years. Incredible.

Try enforcing that with 10 players left.

Theres no form on the table like at EPTs and UKIPTs but I have heard several announcements just before tournaments kick off that urge everyone to read the WSOP rules so its probably in there somewhere. Unfortunately its still a waste of time reading the rules 'cos you'll likely get three different rulings from three different floormen. The rule as published may or may not make the top 3.

<3 Danny Rudd and another kid come through naps hull. Mariner on here but seem to remember he ain't a full blown cod head like lfmagic. Good luck to him.
Pretty sure he went to school in grimsby.Dont know if he was born there tho
Yeah you could be right. Think he gad links with some diddly donk town further down east coast tho, may even be Cambridge. He was playing In hull round about the time Jon doughnut Lundy was there too

I'm fairly sure he went to school in Grimsby and definitely college as i was in his 5 a side team and knew him till he went to uni i believe. Had no idea he played poker at the time though he must have drove down to hull to play as its only a 40 min journey and the closest casino that i know of.

Good luck to him will certainly get him across the globe more which he seems to be doing lately.

I don't recall doing so, but maybe they did. It's all a bit of a Damon Albarn now.

EDIT - Just realised - it was not covered by ESPN, so presumably they would not bother.

What an unbelievably stupid rule.

Are you compelled to do interviews as well? If so, are you forced to slag off your opponents and declare yourself the best the world has ever seen?

Enforce the formal dress at final tables (only black tie in the evening, thank you) rule and add a touch of class.
